Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
It seems like I was just sewing in panic the pretty felt Valentine's Day envelopes for Olivia's preschool party with a fresh tan from our vacation to Mexico. It's hard to believe it was a year ago. Maybe because it feels like it was just a few weeks ago, I decided this year that I wasn't going to do anything mad like that again. So, this year, I went to Target and bought the lollipops and stickers, and I made my daughter make her own Valentine's for her class of 24. We got the idea for the cards from Pinterest (where else, right?). We chose the card design together among many wonderful ideas. Olivia liked the lollipop butterflies the best. We also liked the cards with little cars taped on them with a saying, "I wheelie like you." Cute!!

While Olivia was at school, I created a template for the butterfly, and drew them on the different color pink and red card stock. I spread all the stickers on the table, and when she got home, she started cutting, gluing, sticking, painting, and writing. She got four finished, and she was done. ... Good thing we started this on Monday afternoon. I had learned my lesson from last year. :)
On Thursday afternoon, I made her finish last of the cards, and together, we were able to finish all 24 of them. She cut most of the butterflies all on her own, wrote her name to all of them, stuck stickers on them, and painted most of them. My job was to put the lollipops on the butterflies and write "Happy Valentine's Day"...and, I may have helped a little with painting and cutting also.
